On May 28, 2024 at 11:41 pm, the Oxford Police were dispatched to the 200 Blk Beaumont drive for a report of criminal mischief to a residence. Officers arrived on location and made contact with a female victim who stated that a family member, Daniel Naylor, 19, of Maryland, had broken out a window in the residence with a rock in attempts to gain entry. Naylor was also observed by neighbors as he attempted to kick in the front door of the victim's residence. Naylor had fled the scene on foot prior to the Officers arriving but was located a short time later in the neighborhood. Naylor was placed into custody and transported to the Oxford Police for processing before being turned over to Constables for transport to Chester County Prison. Naylor was arraigned and a $7500 / 10% bail was set.
A preliminary hearing was held on June 04, 2024 at the Oxford District Court where the burglary charge was withdrawn and all other charges were held to the Court of Common Pleas.
