On March 25, 2022 at 4:31 pm the Oxford police were dispatched to the 200 Blk Commerce Street for a report of a disturbance. Contact was made with a 14 yo female victim who stated that the defendant, Devon Scott, 18, of Oxford, and a 17 yo female had assaulted her. Video evidence of the assault was made available to Officers which did match the victims statements. Scott has been charged with the assault and is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing at Oxford District Court. The 17 yo female has also been charged and has been referred to the Juvenile Courts.
