Stay at Home Info

Stay-at-Home went into effect at 8PM on Monday, March 23, 2020.  Under Gov. Wolf’s order, people in Parkesburg (Chester County) may leave their homes to work at a business that’s still open, go to the grocery store, pharmacy, visit a doctor, care for a relative, or as otherwise permitted by the order.  Governor Wolf has asked that unless you need food, prescriptions, or other services that are life sustaining, please stay at home and help our community stay healthy.  Businesses that remain open to the public include grocery stores, pharmacies, vehicle repair shops, hotels/motels, beer distributors, laundromats and gas stations. Restaurants are only permitted to provide take-out orders. The “open list” includes farms, food production and limited manufacturing.  Closed are business such as car dealerships, retail clothing stores, some retailers, salons and entertainment venues. Police are anticipating voluntary cooperation with all health and safety measures being taken to stop the spread of this virus and hope that everyone does their part to keep our community healthy and safe.  Please seek only reliable sources of information during this National Crisis.  There are numerous reports of false health and safety information posted on-line and telephone scams preying on those in fear.  Educate yourself on the facts.  Only use credible sources of information such as (www.cdc.gov) or (www.chesco.org/Health) or (www.parkesburg.org).  We are all in this together.  Please stay safe and healthy.
