This morning the West Whiteland Township Police Department battled the West Whiteland Fire Company in Wawa's Hoagies for Hero's Hoagie-making contest. Wawa generously donated to both departments' charity of choice, and our department chose to donate to The Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation. This organization is a non-profit that has three missions, it provides financial relief to families of injured and fallen first responders, its Police Youth Alliance Program, and provides mental health and wellbeing resources for first responders and their families.
