Magnolia Street Stabbing Incident



The Kennett Square Police Department is investigating the assault and stabbing incident which occurred last night, August 30, 2021, at approximately 9:15 PM in the 500 Block of Magnolia Street. We also investigated a suspicious vehicle incident last night at approximately 8:15 PM in the 800 block of South Washington Street and a hit and run accident in the area of Meredith and West Mulberry Streets at approximately 9:00 PM. As this investigation stands, we believe all three incidents are related. 

A 22 year old male was transported to Christiana Hospital with a stab wound to his abdomen with what are believed to be non life threatening injuries. 

At this time in the investigation there does not appear to be any threat to the greater community, as this appears to be an isolated incident. 

We are asking residents in the general areas of the above three related incidents to review their surveillance cameras and submit any footage of people or vehicles to the police department.
