8/31/25, at 1:38 AM, while on a routine patrol check in Anson B. Nixon Park, Officers observed a vehicle enter the area and park in the parking lot. (KS-25-009397). Upon contact, indicators suggesting intoxication were observed. Subsequently, the operator was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
8/31/25, at 3:27 AM, while conducting business checks in the 200 Block of E. State Street, a door to a business was found to be unsecured. (KS-25-009403). The building was checked, and all appeared to be okay.
8/31/25, at 6:40 AM, Officers were given a found cell phone in the 100 Block of Meredith Street. (KS-25-009409). The phone was turned over to the owner later that morning.
8/31/25, at 6:23 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of S. Garfield Street for a dispute between neighbors over a parking space. (KS-25-009427). Officers advised that parking spots cannot be blocked off for personal use on a public road.
8/31/25, at 9:18 PM, Officers were dispatched to the parking garage for a report of juveniles throwing things off the roof and damaging vehicles. (KS-25-009431). This incident is pending further investigation.
9/1/25, at 2:01 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of Ridge Avenue for a group of juveniles fighting. (KS-25-009435). This incident is pending further investigation.
9/2/25, at 9:11 AM, Officers were dispatched for a Crimewatch tip received in reference to threatening messages and inappropriate photos. (KS-25-009467). This incident is pending further investigation.
9/2/25, at 10:54 AM, Officers were dispatched for a scam report that occurred in the 600 Block of E. Cope Road involving inappropriate photos and threatening messages. (KS-25-009470). The reporting party was advised to block the phone number that was sending the messages.
9/2/25, at 3:17 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of E. South Street for a report in reference to a verbal altercation between the reporting party and a male juvenile. (KS-25-009479). The reporting party advised that they did not want the male juvenile inside their home while they were not present and had filed reports about this previously. This incident is pending trespass charges.
9/3/25, at 1:21 PM, while on patrol at the KAU Senior Field, Officers observed a vehicle parked with the driver in the back seat of the running car. (KS-25-009506). Officers advised that they have had multiple calls about their vehicle being parked in this location and would need to leave due to this area being private property.
9/3/25, at 6:34 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a subject allegedly exposing their genitals to a massage therapist. (KS-25-009519). This incident is pending further investigation.
9/4/25 at 8:50 AM, Officers were dispatched for an assault that occurred in a private parking lot in the 300 Block of E. State Street. (KS-25-009559). This incident is pending further investigation.
9/4/25, at 11:26 AM, while monitoring traffic in the 400 Block of E. State Street, Officers observed a red Ford SUV with an expired registration and initiated a traffic stop. (KS-25-009547). Due to the owner not having valid insurance, the SUV was towed from the scene. While completing an inventory search of the vehicle before the tow, a blue bag with a small amount of marijuana was located. Subsequently, a Non-Traffic Citation for Disorderly Conduct was issued to the owner.
9/4/25, at 6:03 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a roommate refusing to pay rent. (KS-25-009561). The reporting party was advised that this was not a criminal circumstance and was provided information on how to file a civil report.
9/5/25 at 12:05 AM, while on patrol in the 100 Block of Race Street, Officers observed a vehicle parked in the YMCA parking lot. (KS-25-009568). Upon approaching the vehicle, Officers observed a female subject asleep inside. Once she was awake, she advised that she was between homes and wanted to rest before she had to go to work. She denied needing police or medical assistance and agreed to move out of the private lot without issue. No signs of impairment or suspicious activity were observed.
9/5/25, at 10:13 AM, Officers received a report in reference to juveniles throwing things off the roof of the parking garage into the street and sidewalk. (KS-25-009616). The reporting party advised that they observed this on three separate occasions. This incident is pending further investigation.
9/5/25, at 10:36 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of E. Cypress Street for an erratic driver report of a dark gray vehicle speeding and cutting off the reporting party. (KS-25-009602). Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Due to the operator of the vehicle not having a driver's license and the owner not being able to provide valid insurance, the car was towed from the scene.
9/6/25, at 10:36 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of Race Street for traffic in the area. (KS-25-09618). The area was checked and found traffic to be normal for the Mushroom Festival. The reporting party was advised of the outcome.
9/6/25, at 11:55 AM, Officers were dispatched for a Hispanic male panhandling for money outside of a business in the 500 Block of S. Union Street. (KS-25-009622). Contact was made with the subject, who was advised he could not ask people for money. The subject advised that he understood and expressed that he didn’t have money for food. Officers purchased food for the subject, and he left the area without issues.
9/5/25, at 4:57 PM, a vehicle accident occurred in a parking lot on E. South Street. (KS-25-009595).
9/6/25 at 10:55 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on Magnolia Street. (KS-25-009620).
9/6/25, at 2:44 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on W. Linden Street at its intersection with N. Garfield Street. (KS-25-009625).
