8/3/25, at 7:05 PM, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection of N. Mill Road and W. Sickle Street. (KS-25-008379). Upon further investigation, the operator of the vehicle was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
8/4/25, at 12:20 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of W. Cedar Street for a report of a physical domestic. (KS-25-008408). The reporting party advised that a male subject had struck her in the face twice, in a vehicle, on the border between Delaware and Pennsylvania, and then left her to get a ride. Officers assisted in locating where the incident occurred, and the report was then turned over to the New Castle County Police Department due to jurisdiction.
8/4/25, at 5:38 PM, Officers were dispatched to Anson B. Nixon Park for a male subject who was preventing a female from entering a blue sedan. (KS-25-008417). Upon contacting the involved parties, the male subject appeared visibly intoxicated and was issued two Non-Traffic Citations for Public Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct.
8/4/25, at 6:02 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a lost wallet in the 500 Block of S. Union Street. (KS-25-008418). The area was checked with negative results for the wallet, and nothing had been turned in to the police, unfortunately.
8/5/25, at 3:11 PM, while on patrol in the 400 Block of W. Mulberry Street, Officers observed a vehicle with expired registration, emissions, and inspection. (KS-25-008459). The vehicle was marked abandoned and will need to be removed from the roadway.
8/5/25, at 10:19 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of W. Cypress Street for a disturbance stemming from parking disputes within a private parking lot at an apartment building. (KS-25-008471). The reporting party only wanted the matter documented and did not want any action taken.
8/5/25, at 10:30 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of E. State Street for a well-being check of a male subject who had fallen. (KS-25-008473). After contacting the subject, EMS personnel were requested to assess the patient.
8/6/25, at 9:29 AM, Officers were dispatched for a report of harassment via communication. (KS-25-008483). After further investigation, none of the correspondence rose to the level of harassment, and the reporting party was advised to block the phone number.
8/6/25, at 10:40 AM, Officers received a report of fraudulent purchases on a credit card totaling approximately $7,000. (KS-25-008491). This incident is pending further investigation.
8/7/25, at 5:03 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of N. Walnut Street for a parking complaint involving a white truck parked in the entrance of the pickleball courts. (KS-25-008538). The area was checked with negative results.
8/7/25, at 8:39 PM, a traffic stop was initiated in the 400 Block of E. State Street on a vehicle with expired registration that did not have any lights active other than low fog lights. (KS-25-008543). Upon further investigation, it was determined that the operator’s license was restricted to only operating vehicles that have an ignition interlock installed. Due to this vehicle not having said system installed, he was taken into custody, processed, and later released pending the issuance of a summons.
8/7/25, at 9:04 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of Scarlett Alley and S. Union Street for a report of an erratic driver. (KS-25-008541). The reporting party advised that the vehicle was speeding, the wrong way, down Scarlett Alley. Upon arrival, the area was checked with no signs of the vehicle.
8/8/25, at 9:45 AM, an abandoned vehicle sticker was placed on a Dodge pickup truck with expired registration, emissions, and inspection in the 400 Block of W. Mulberry Street. (KS-25-008560.
8/8/25, at 9:10 PM, Officers assisted the Kennett Township Police Department with a DUI investigation in the 500 Block of S. Union Street. (KS-25-008598).
8/9/25, at 2:17 AM, Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle with an inoperable brake light on W. State Street. The vehicle rapidly accelerated and continued onto W. Baltimore Pike at speeds in excess of 97 miles per hour. (KS-25-008595). Multiple other departments became involved in the vehicle pursuit, and subsequently, Pennsylvania State Police Avondale were able to take the operator into custody. A criminal complaint was completed and filed in District Court 15-3-04.
8/9/25, at 3:03 AM, Officers observed a vehicle that had been parked in a business parking lot in the 500 Block of S. Union Street for multiple hours. (KS-25-008596). The vehicle was occupied by a male subject who was asleep. Upon contacting the subject, he advised that he was an Uber driver and thanked the Officers for waking him up. Nothing suspicious was observed during this interaction.
8/9/25, at 3:19 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of W. State Street for a noise complaint. (KS-25-008597). Upon arrival, contact was made with individuals on their balcony who were advised to go inside and keep the noise level down.
8/9/25, at 1:58 PM, Officers were dispatched for a puncture on the sidewall of the reporting party’s tire that had occurred sometime on 8/7/25 while they were at work. (KS-25-008610). Upon further investigation and review of surveillance cameras in the area, no suspicious activity was observed around the vehicle in the time frame given.
8/9/25, at 1:51 PM, Officers assisted the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department with Spanish translation during the investigation of a physical domestic incident. (KS-25-008615).
8/3/26 at 11:42 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on S. Union Street at its intersection with W. Mulberry Street. (KS-25-008366).
8/6/25, at 5:54 pm, a vehicle accident occurred on Center Street. (KS-25-008500).
