Police Blotter Activity - 5/30/2021 - 6/5/2021

Police Blotter

5/30/21 at 8:14AM, Officers were dispatched for a verbal domestic. (KS-21-004435). Subjects were advised it would be best to go their separate ways for the day.

5/30/21 at 10:55AM, Officers were dispatched for a report involving harassing communications. (KS-21-004431).

5/30/31 at 3:23PM, Officers were dispatched to assist Kennett Township Police in reference to a vehicle that struck a tree and is off the road in the 500 Block of Creek Road. (KS-21-004437).

5/30/21 at 7:22PM Officers were dispatched for a property damage accident at the intersection of S. Union Street and E. Sound St. (KS-21-004444).

5/30/21 between 11:30PM and 3:30AM, two Officers conducted continuous rotating patrols in Stenning Hills and a marked police vehicle was parked at the entrance of the Kennett High School top parking lot on South Union Street. (KS-21-004442).

5/30/21 at 3:19AM, Officers were involved in a fleeing and eluding incident (KS-21-004427). Two vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed throughout the Borough and failed to stop when the Officer turned on emergency lights and sirens. PSP later advised they had the driver and passenger in custody. Charges are pending.

5/31/21 at 10:01AM, Officers were dispatched for an escort in the 100 Block of W. Cypress Street for an individual to retrieve their items from a residence they had since left. (KS-21-004463).

5/31/21 at 11:34AM, Officers were dispatched for a report of an inappropriate picture sent to a juvenile through text message in the 100 Block of W. State Street. (KS-21-004464). A Child Line Report was made regarding this incident.

5/31/21 between 11:30PM and 3:30AM, Officers conducted continuous rotating patrols in Stenning Hills and a marked police vehicle was parked at the entrance of the Kennett High School top parking lot on South Union Street. (KS-21-004469).

5/31/21 between 6:00PM and 4:30AM, Officers checked the following areas for parking violations, per the requests of concerned citizens of the Borough, W. Mulberry St., Magnolia St., S. Broad St. and Stenning Hills. (KS-21-004445). No violations were observed.

6/1/21 at 10:06AM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a fire extinguisher that was found to have been discharged on the top floor of the Parking Garage. (KS-21-004481).

6/1/21 at 3:32PM, Officers were dispatched for a possible abandoned vehicle in the 500 Block of Las Rosas Drive. (KS-21-004493).

6/01/21 parking enforcement was conducted throughout the Borough between 7:00AM and 7:00PM. (KS-21-0044494). One parking ticket was issued.

6/1/21 at 9:33PM, while conducting a routine patrol check of the Parking Garage, two individuals were seen on the top floor. (KS-21-004502). Contact was made and they were advised they cannot loiter in the parking garage.

6/1/21 between 11:30PM and 3:30AM, Officers conducted continuous rotating patrols in Stenning Hills and a marked police vehicle was parked at the entrance of the Kennett High School top parking lot on South Union Street. (KS-21-004506).

6/1/21 from 7:00AM to 7:00PM patrol was conducted at the various locations mentioned in KS-21-004445 for parking violations. No violations were observed and no parking tickets were issued. (KS-21-004511).

6/2/21 Officers checked the following areas for parking violations, per the requests of concerned citizens of the Borough, W. Mulberry St., Magnolia St., S. Broad St. and Stenning Hills. (KS-21-004537). Four parking tickets were issued.

6/2/21 Officers were contacted and advised of a fight which had occurred the previous evening at the Landhope Farms, between a juvenile and an adult. (KS-21-004522). Both parties will be receiving Non-Traffic Citations for Disorderly Conduct.

6/2/21 between 11:30PM and 3:30AM, Officers conducted continuous rotating patrols in Stenning Hills and a marked police vehicle was parked at the entrance of the Kennett High School top parking lot on South Union Street. (KS-21-004533).

6/2/21 parking enforcement was conducted throughout the Borough between 7:00PM and 7:00AM. (KS-21-004541). Six parking tickets were issued.

6/2/21 at 11:52AM, Officers observed an erratic driver while in the area of 300 Block of E. Cypress Street. (KS-21-004519). Once contact was made with the operator of the vehicle, Officers were advised of a possible issue with the steering of the vehicle.

6/3/21 at 2:43PM, Officers were dispatched for a parking complaint on Apple Alley. (KS-21-004551). The vehicle was observed to be parked illegally in a no parking zone. A parking ticket was issued.

6/3/21 at 4:31PM, Officers were dispatched for a suspicious person walking through a resident’s backyard, looking confused, in the 500 Block of South Street. (KS-21-004554). Officers patrolled this area, but did not locate said individual.

6/3/21 at 8:00PM, Officers were dispatched for a suspicious person walking up and down the street, looking confused, in the area of Kenview Avenue. (KS-21-004558). Officers patrolled this street and surrounding areas with no success of locating the subject.

6/3/21 between 11:30PM and 3:30AM, Officers conducted continuous rotating patrols in Stenning Hills and a marked police vehicle was parked at the entrance of the Kennett High School top parking lot on South Union Street. (KS-21-004566).

6/3/21 parking enforcement was conducted in the above mentions areas throughout the Kennett Square Borough. (KS-21-004569 & KS-21-004572). Four parking ticket were issued.

6/3/21 at 11:11AM, Officers were dispatched for a verbal domestic in the 300 Block of Walnut Court Way. (KS-21-004543). At no point in time did the situation become physical.

6/3/21 at 12:26PM, Officers located a set of GM car keys on the wall outside of the Police Department next to a case of water. (KS-21-004547). Keys are placed into lost and found bin.

6/4/21 at 2:55PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a suspicious letter which was sent to Genesis Healthcare in the 100 Block of E. State Street. (KS-21-004589). Officers are still looking into this incident.

6/4/21 at 7:41PM, Officers were dispatched for a parking complaint at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Meredith Street. (KS-21-00495). Once on scene no vehicles were observed blocking traffic in this area.

6/4/21 at 11:09PM, Officers were requested to assist Kennett Township Police with a shots fired incident in the 100 Block of New Granite Way. (KS-21-004599). No sign of a firearm or shots being fired were present.

6/4/21 between 11:30PM and 3:30AM Officers conducted mobile and stationary patrol checks in the areas of Stenning Hills, E. Chestnut St., S. Walnut St., Hessian Cir., W. Mulberry St and the Apartment complexes. No suspicious vehicles or pedestrians were observed. (KS-21-004602).

6/5/21 at 6:59PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a group of juveniles smoking marijuana on a porch in the 500 Block of Magnolia Street. (KS-21-004624). Once on scene, Officers were able to make contact with an individual who stated they were just hanging out. No odor of marijuana was detected.

6/5/21 from 7:00AM to 7:00PM parking enforcement was conducted in all areas of concern. (KS-21-004612 & KS-21-004638). No violations were observed.

6/5/21 between 11:30PM and 3:30AM Officers conducted mobile and stationary patrol checks in the areas of Stenning Hills, E. Chestnut St., S. Walnut St., Hessian Cir., W. Mulberry St and the Apartment complexes. No suspicious vehicles or pedestrians were observed. (KS-21-004629).


Vehicle Accidents

5/31/21 at 5:18PM, Officers were dispatched for a Non-Reportable Accident on S. Union Street. (P21154390).

6/5/21 at 5:57PM, Officers were dispatched for a Non-Reportable Accident on E. Linden Street, in the Parking Garage. (KS-21-004631).

6/5/21 at 7:46PM, Officers were dispatched for a Non-Reportable Accident at the intersection of E. State Street and S. Walnut Street. (KS-21-004619).


Traffic Enforcement

38 Traffic Citations and 17 Written Warnings were issued.


Patrol & Business Checks

14 Business Checks were conducted.

18 Patrol Checks conducted in the Business District.

2 Patrol Checks conducted on East Linden and Willow Streets.

6 Patrol Checks conducted at the Apartment Complexes.

11 Patrol Checks conducted at Anson B. Nixon Park.
