Civil Service Physical Agility Testing and Written Testing are scheduled at Kennett High School on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 9:00 AM.

Applicants shall meet the following minimum standards:

• Must be 21 years of age to apply
• Applicants must be United States citizens
• Free of any felony or serious misdemeanor convictions
• Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a police officer
• Applicants must be able to complete a competitive process, including but not limited to a physical agility test, written test, oral interview, physical and psychological examination, polygraph examination, and comprehensive background investigation
• Applicants considered for employment must be of good moral character
• Applicants must be physically and psychologically able to perform the duties of the position of a Police Officer, as per the job description, and free from any physical, emotional, or mental condition that might adversely affect the exercise of police powers as determined through the testing specified in 37 PA Code 203.11
• Applicants must possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma
• Applicants DO NOT need to possess Act 120 certification to apply, but must be able to complete, receive, and retain Act 120 Certification if chosen for a cadet sponsorship by the municipality
• Free of illegal use of controlled substances as determined by approved laboratory testing
• Possess a valid driver's license
