Chester County Department of Emergency Services is located in the Chester County Government Services Center in West Goshen Township, and serves over 500,000 citizens in 73 municipalities. The 9-1-1 Communications Center handles over 300,000 calls a year. This is about 900 calls for assistance a day. The Department administers and provides for emergency services communications; hazardous materials spill response; disaster planning; fire, rescue and emergency medical services training; Fire Marshal investigations; the Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act; and Public Education programs.
