On October 22, 2022, at approximately 12:40 PM, the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department was dispatched to the 1100 block of Wilmington Pike, Westtown Township, at the TD-Bank location for a bank robbery that just occurred. No gun was displayed; however, one was implied. Patrol officers immediately responded to the location and determined no one in the bank was injured. An investigation into the bank robbery immediately began.

Information obtained by the investigation, including a vehicle description, was relayed to several police agencies, including the Delaware State Police. In a short time, members of the Delaware State Police located the suspect's vehicle in the parking lot of another TD-Bank in Delaware, where the suspect was taken into custody.

Lashawnda Jones, a 42-year-old female from Wilmington, Delaware, was arrested for this bank robbery, as well as two other attempted bank robberies that occurred on the same day at other bank locations.

Lashawnda Jones was previously arrested by the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department in 2004 and again in 2010 for committing bank robberies at this same bank location in Westtown Township (previously Commerce Bank).

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department was assisted by West Goshen PD, Pennsylvania State Police, and Delaware State Police. 

Jones is currently in custody in the state of Delaware pending extradition to the state of Pennsylvania.
