With fall approaching, the leaves are changing, the days get shorter, and, of course, it’s “beard-growing season” again!! Blue Beards for Charity, an initiative spearheaded by dedicated police officers in Chester County, is proud to announce the launch of our annual charity event. The Westtown-East Goshen Police Association, which represents the officers of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, will again participate in Chester County Law Enforcement’s efforts to support local charities and causes outlined below.
This year, Blue Beards for Charity remains committed to its core mission of supporting local causes. This event will continue to raise funds for four outstanding local charities: Unite for Her, The Sambuco Children’s Education Fund, A Child’s Light, the Chester County Crime Victims Center, and the West Chester Food Cupboard.
Throughout the Fall months you may see our local officers supporting facial hair and pink badges to raise awareness for these causes as we donate and raise money towards the efforts. In 2023, Chester County Law Enforcement’s charitable efforts raised more than $65,000, and with the continued growth of this event and the participation of even more officers in 2024, we are confident that this year’s efforts will surpass our previous achievements.
Blue Beards for Charity is eager to expand its impact by inviting the private sector to join us in this noble endeavor. We encourage individuals, businesses, and organizations alike to contribute to our mission of making a positive difference in the community. You can also show your support by purchasing a Blue Beards for Charity sign at the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department for $20.00.
Checks can be made payable to "Blue Beards for Charity" and mailed or dropped off at the Westtown East Goshen Regional Police Department at 1041 Wilmington Pike West Chester, PA 19382 ( Attn. Blue Beards), Monday-Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. All donations are tax-deductible and are greatly appreciated.
