WESTTOWN-EAST GOSHEN REGIONAL POLICE DEPARTMENT LAUNCHES CRIMEWATCH LABS
This new website offers direct access to crime and public safety-related information.

West Chester, PA – The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department and Police Chief Brenda Bernot announced the launch of CRIMEWATCH LABS. CRIMEWATCH LABS is an extension of CRIMEWATCH. LABS integrates with our records management system to deliver a powerful crime mapping and analytics system.

This new system allows Westtown-East Goshen Regional PD to provide the following:

• An analytical view of our records management data
• Location, Race, and Identity Metrics
• A Full Crime Mapping System
• A deep analysis and sharing of incident data

It is worth noting that not every call for service received by the police department is mapped in LABS. Some calls have been omitted due to the sensitivity of the call (e.g., mental health calls, ambulance calls, etc.) or for the purpose of clear mapping.

In addition, the location that is displayed on the crime map system is a generalized and not a specific location (within ½ mile of the actual site); this feature is designed to protect the identity of the victims.
