Officer Brad Fox

While responding to a call on the evening of Thursday, September 13, 2012, K9 Officer Brad Fox of the Plymouth Township Police Department was tragically killed in the line of duty. It was the eve of his 35th birthday. Brad was the beloved husband of Lynsay, the loving father of Kadence, as well as an unborn child due in March 2013. The five year veteran Plymouth Township Police Officer had recently graduated from the Philadelphia Police Canine Academy with his partner, Nick, a Belgian Malinois. K-9 Officer Nick was also injured in the incident but managed to survive; he was awarded several citations for Service, Bravery and Valor. In addition to his community service at home, Brad was also a decorated staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. Brad’s service spanned 10 years including two combat tours in Iraq. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Presidential Unit Citation, Selected Marine Corp Reserve (X3) Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and The Armed Forces Reserve Medal.

"Brad was raised in Warminster and graduated from William Tennent High School. Brad joined the Marine Corps in 1999, served 2 tours to Iraq in 2003 and 2005, and was honorably discharged with a rank of SSgt after 10 years of service, in 2009. Brad’s dream of becoming a police officer became reality in September of 2007, when he was hired by Plymouth Township Police Department. He was passionate about his job and enjoyed serving and protecting his community. He could not have made us more proud. Brad was not only a dedicated Marine and Police Officer, but a loving husband, and the most amazing daddy to Kadence and new baby due in March. His face lit up with every little smirk and giggle that Kadence would give him. She truly had him wrapped around her little finger, and was his world. I look forward to seeing all the characteristics the new baby has of Brad's.

Brad and I spent 8 years together before he made the ultimate sacrifice. I can honestly say that it was the best 8 years I could have asked for. He was not only my husband, but my absolute best friend, soul mate, and most importantly, my hero. I thank god every day for putting us both in the right place at the right time at the Madison in 2005. I could not have chosen a better companion and father of my children. We had a long journey over these past 8 years with a deployment, completing the police academy, beginning new jobs, getting married, starting a family, and Brad completing K9 school. We always made sure we didn’t lose sight that we were a team and we would get through all the bumps in the road together no matter how difficult some of them were. Our children will be reminded each and every day how incredible their daddy was and how proud he made his family. I look forward to the day that I can share all the amazing times we spent together and how much he truly loved us."
